Gorkan

He was a Chancellor of The Klingon High Council. He pursued peaceful relations between The Klingons and The Federation. He was murdered prior to the Kiomor Conferance. An explanation of his murder, which was provided, allowed for successful negotiations,  which broght peace the two peoples.

Klingon Civil War

This conflict was about picking a leader of the Klingon High Command. The comflict ensued between Gowron and the House of Duras. Victoriously Gowron won and led the Klingons.
